Chief Deputy John H. Strange III was born and raised in Evansville, Indiana where he attended Harrison High School. After high school, Chief Deputy Strange attended the University of Evansville and obtained a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. He later attended Indiana State University and in 1990 he earned his Master’s Degree in Criminology. Major Chad Ferguson

Major Chad Ferguson was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina and grew up in Vincennes, Indiana. After high school, Major Ferguson enlisted in the United States Army. After his time spent in the United States Armed Forces, Major Ferguson returned back to Indiana and was sworn in as a Deputy with the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office in 1998. Major Ferguson has served in Motor Patrol as both a Deputy and as a Field Training Officer. Lieutenant Matt Corn was born and raised in Evansville, Indiana and attended North High School. After high school, Lt. Lieutenant Doug Daza was born in Bloomington, Indiana and grew up in Evansville, Indiana where he attended Central High School. After high school, Lt. Lieutenant Brad Traylor is a native of Jasper Indiana and moved to Evansville in 1988 to attend University of Southern Indiana on a cross country scholarship. Lt. Traylor earned a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and began to pursue a career in law enforcement. He was sworn in as a Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Deputy in December 1995, and graduated from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in 1996.

Lieutenant Brian Traylor, is a native of Jasper, Indiana, where he graduated from high school. He then attended the University of Southern Indiana and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1993.
