Inmates may send and receive letters from outside of the jail.

  1. Homemade cards are generally not accepted.  We do not accept anything with crayon or marker. Something in pencil or ink pen will normally be ok.

Store bought cards are acceptable provided that they don’t have glitter or any electronic music inserts.

  1. Most standard envelope sizes are accepted up to 8 ½ x 11. 

  2. Care packages are not allowed.  You may send a care package via our commissary system.  www.mycarepack.com 

  3. Photographs 5” x 7” or under are accepted.  No nudity is allowed.

  4. Clippings from magazines and newspapers are not allowed.  Nothing printed from a home computer printer or copier is allowed unless it is official court documentation or legal in nature. 

  5. Self addressed envelopes are not allowed.  Inmates must purchase pre-stamped envelopes from our commissary.  If the inmate is indigent, stamped envelopes will be provided. 

  6. Inmates may not receive books, magazines, newspapers, or puzzle books.  We do provide library services to inmates.  Puzzle books are available for purchase on commissary.

Money orders may be sent directly to the inmate in the mail.  We will deposit the money on their commissary account.  Money may also be placed on their account in the jail lobby 24 hours a day via our KIOSK system. 

If family or friends of an inmate send an unacceptable item, the item will be placed into the inmate’s property and the inmate will receive a form advising them of such.  The item is not thrown out or sent back.
